In January of each year, re-registration of all returning families takes place. Applications for new students are available beginning in late January. Once a new student application and required documents are received, an appointment will be set up for assessment.
In-Parish Tuition Rates: Grades TK – 8
1 student family = $5,061. 00
2 student family = $9,083. 00
3 student family = $12,860. 00
4 student family - $16,190.00
Out-Of-Parish Tuition Rates: Grades K – 8
1 student family = $6,115. 00
2 student family = $10,077. 00
3 student family = $14,223. 00
4 student family - $17,814.00
Requirements
To qualify for in-parish tuition rates, parents must be registered and active members in St. Thomas More parish life. This is defined as Sunday mass attendance and an identifiable regular offering at mass made through the use of the weekly envelope. The parish envelope is to be used at least 3 times each month for a minimum of 36 Sundays throughout the year. Families are reevaluated twice each year to ensure compliance with in-parish criteria. New families will be considered out-of-parish until they have registered and have met parish criteria for at least three months. Parents are to enroll children in sacramental programs.
Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance is available through the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Applications for the Catholic Education Foundation tuition assistance are available in the school office during January and February.
Service Hours
All families are required to volunteer 30 hours for two-parent families or $300.00 Buyout; 15 hours for single parent families or $150.00 Buyout. 3 hours of mandated Service Hours must be performed for the Spring Festival unless the Spring Festival is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. The three hours would instead be completed through other opportunities or Buyout. Should any unforeseen circumstances such as the school being unable to provide fundraising events or opportunities due to school site closure, pandemic, acts of God, Service hours are still payable to the school as a financial obligation.
Service Hours must be completed by trimester as follows: Two-parent families- 1st trimester 9 hours, 2nd trimester 12 hours, and 3rd trimester 9 hours. Single Parent families – 1st trimester 5 hours, 2nd trimester 6 hours, and 3rd trimester 4 hours. All Service Hours are due by April 30th. A 10.00 fee is assessed at the end of each trimester for any incomplete hours. A $15.00 fee is assessed after April 30th for any incomplete hours and will automatically be applied to tuition payment. After School Care
After School Care $125.00 every two weeks per child, Second sibling an additional $40.00. Third sibling $25.00. Tuesday through Friday 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Monday’s and noon dismissal days. Child Care staff are paid minimum or above minimum hourly wage for every hour worked. Fee for Child care only covers a small portion of staff salary. $12.00 Drop-in fee after 3:15 P.M
Please make sure your child(ren) has an afternoon snack. Snacks will not be provided.
FACTS
FACTS is the tuition management agency utilized by STM. Parents who do not pay the yearly tuition at the start of the school year, are required to use FACTS. They charge a fee for missed payments.
Late Fees
Late fees may be charged if timely payment is not made. If a check for the Graduation fee of $400.00 for 8th-grade parents only does not clear, the family will be charged a $20 returned check fee.
Testing Fee
A $50.00 testing fee is due at the time of application. It is non– refundable.
Registration Fee
A registration fee of $350.00 per family is due when the child is accepted. This covers the initial costs of registration, including earthquake supplies and insurance.
Technology, Software, and Books - Yearly Fee: $400.00
The following is a breakdown of the $400.00 Technology, Software, and Books:
*Chrome-books - $75.00 per student
*E-Books - $140.00 per child yearly licenses
*Student Activities Equipment $40.00 per student (Schoolyard equipment)
*Computer supplies (ink & paper) $40.00 per student
*Earthquake supplies, insurance, etc., $75.00 per student
*Books and workbooks $80.00 per student per year.
Graduation Fee
There is a $400.00 graduation fee for 8th-grade parents only. The Graduation Fee helps pay for the following expenses:

*Eighth Grade Field Trip to Knott's Berry Farm
*Ceterpieces for Graduation Breakfast
*Flowers for Graduation Mass - Church
*Catered Graduation Breakfast

Fundraising
Fundraising is used to assist the school with paying operating costs and most importantly, limiting the 2% yearly increases in tuition for the cost of living. Fundraising is due even if the school does not provide fundraising events due to school site closure, pandemics, acts of God. Fundraising financial obligation is due by May 10th. A buyout is also available.
